It is said, "Fresh coffee is good for three weeks after roasting,
three days after crushing, and 3 hours after the extraction, but the taste
deteriorates, and it is also not good for the body the longer coffee sits
in storage " ("The coffee science I'd like to know more"
by Prof. Yukio Hirose of Kanazawa University).
With this in mind, it is wise to roast only the amount that can be consumed
within three weeks in order to keep to ensure fresh and delicious coffee.
In other words, roasting must be done once a month.
Those who like blended coffee will have to repeat roasting by the number
of kinds of beans.
If such a tedious task exists, home roasting will be disliked. So, I decided to automate this job.
I want to not only rely on automation with a motor but also make roasting
more enjoyable. This will make coffee more delicious than ever and ultimately
connect many peoples through roasting.
